expressionism

To me, expressionism is the symbolic representation of indescribable emotions. This theory is supported by the fact that in all honesty it was very easy to let yourself form an image of the poem's meaning in your head but once you try to convey the feelings of the image it's nearly impossible. It comes down to emotions that are understood, comprehended, and shared, but are inexpressible.

On a side note, while i respect the expressionist dancers and expressionist dance as an art form, i was fairly bored during the dance segments. To me they dwindled on and on and on without actually doing much of anything that for me, was visually stimulating.

I am much more a fan of the Twilight Zone's expressionism. Of creepy universal fears and phobias.
